Overview

Quantity: 4 longer M6 × 12 arm mount screws and 4 shorter M6 × 8 license plate screws.
Arm Attachment

Some gap between the bumper and plate is normal. To reduce the gap between the upper edge of the plate and the bumper, loosen the top two screws. Move the plate slightly toward the tick mark closest to the license plate, which moves the plate toward the bumper, and retighten. This allows you to adjust the plate over time.

Installation on the Vehicle
- Take the assembled Flush Plate. Gently rotate the thumb wheel away from the lock icon, to the right, until you feel resistance. The mechanism should be in the unlocked position upon delivery.
- Ensure your bumper is clean, then position the plate on your bumper.
- Gently rotate the thumb wheel toward the lock icon, to the left, until you feel slight resistance. Do not overtighten. The thumb wheel mechanism has an anti-loosening design. Check its snugness periodically.
- Some gap between the bumper and plate is normal. To adjust the fit, see Step 8: Arm Angle Bumper Adjustment.
Removal
Before removing the plate, ensure the mechanism is clean and free of dirt, mud, ice, or snow. If necessary, clean the mechanism and allow any ice to thaw. If the tamper screw is engaged, back it out to the unlocked position before operating the thumb wheel.
- Gently rotate the thumb wheel away from the lock icon, to the right, until you feel slight resistance. Do not over-loosen it. The thumb wheel mechanism has an anti-loosening design. This returns the carriage to the unlocked, stowed position.
- Gently pull the arm forward to slide it out of the grille.
- If you feel resistance when removing the arm, check that the thumb wheel has been rotated to the right. If resistance remains, gently rotate the thumb wheel toward the lock icon, to the left, until it reaches the locked position. Then rotate it away from the lock icon, to the right, until you feel slight resistance. This can help clear debris or free a sticking mechanism. Gently pull the arm out of the grille.
Optional Tamper Screw

If you would like to use the tamper screw to prevent someone from operating the thumb wheel without a wrench, follow these steps:
- Ensure the plate is attached to your vehicle and the mechanism is locked.
- Gently screw the tamper screw on the arm all the way in. Do not overtighten. The screws have anti-loosening features; the tamper screw has a lock nut to resist backing out.
- The tamper screw hinders someone from loosening the thumb wheel and unlocking the mechanism, but may not protect against excessive force applied to the mechanism.
- Make sure you loosen the tamper screw before operating the thumb wheel to remove the plate.
Arm Angle Bumper Adjustment
Some gap between the bumper and plate is normal. The adjustable arm lets you refine the fit over time.
- The standard position is toward the top dash mark, away from the license plate.
- To reduce a gap between the upper edge of the plate and the bumper, loosen the top two arm screws.
- Move the plate slightly toward the tick mark closest to the license plate. This changes the arm angle and moves the plate toward the bumper.
- Then snug all four fasteners further so the arm does not easily shift. Do not overtighten. The screws have anti-loosening features.
- Check that the plate is securely mounted before driving, and periodically check the fasteners for snugness.
Important Info
Remove the mount before any car wash, touchless included. It comes off in seconds and goes back on the same way, and it keeps grit and road salt from building up behind the frame and against your bumper. Rinse the mount and the grille area while it is off.
